From enquiry to keys
How it works
Whether you stay two nights or two years, the path is the same seven steps. Nothing is hidden behind an account you have to create first, and nothing is charged before you have seen an itemised total.
The seven steps
- Dates — tell us when you want to arrive and leave. The length of the stay decides whether it is a short stay or an application.
- Room — see which rooms are free for the whole window and choose one.
- Optional upgrades — add extras if you want them, or continue without any. Skipping this step costs nothing and blocks nothing.
- Guest details — who is staying, an emergency contact, and acceptance of the house rules and policies.
- Identity verification — upload the document requested. It is stored privately and reviewed by a person.
- Review and payment — an itemised quote with accommodation and extras kept separate, then payment through PayPal, Square or Stripe.
- Confirmation — your dashboard shows the request, its status, your documents, your payments and what happens next.
How requests are reviewed
Requests are reviewed in the order they arrive. The owner checks that the dates are free, that the stay fits the room and the house, that identity verification is complete, and that the house rules have been accepted.
Criteria are neutral. Nationality, ethnicity, national origin and language are never grounds for refusal. If a request is declined, we say so plainly and, where we can, explain what would need to be different.
When money moves
Nothing is charged while a request is under review. Payment is asked for once a stay is approved and you have seen the itemised quote.
Every amount is calculated on the server from the owner's published prices, so the figure in your dashboard, the figure in your confirmation email and the figure the payment provider charges are the same figure.
After you move in
Your dashboard stays useful: it holds the agreement, your payment history, minibar and equipment charges, optional services and the concierge requests you have made.
Recurring charges for a longer stay appear as a running statement rather than a surprise invoice, and each line says what it is for.
If something goes wrong
Write to contact@we-live.world or use the contact form. A person answers. For a genuine emergency in Japan, call 119 for fire or ambulance and 110 for police first, then tell us.
