Can I book instantly?

No. Every stay is requested and then approved by the owner. The house has five rooms and one person reviewing them, so we would rather confirm properly than take money for a room that turns out not to work. You will normally hear back within a couple of working days.

What is the minimum stay?

One night. Stays of one to fourteen nights go through the short-stay route; anything longer is an extended-stay application with an agreement and a deposit.

What is the longest I can stay?

Two years. Longer arrangements would need a different kind of contract, so we do not offer them here.

Do I need an account to enquire?

Accepted Answer

No. You can browse rooms, read every policy and use the contact form without signing in. An account is needed only to submit a request, because it holds your documents, agreement and payments securely.

What happens if my request is declined?

You are told plainly, nothing is charged, and identity documents you uploaded are handled under the privacy policy. You are welcome to apply again for different dates.

When am I charged?

After approval, and only after you have seen an itemised quote. Nothing is taken while a request is under review.

What currency and what about tax?

Everything is in Japanese yen. Consumption tax is calculated by the server line by line at the applicable rate, so the total is exact rather than an estimate. Refundable deposits are not taxed.

Is the deposit refundable?

Yes. It is returned after the room has been checked at move-out, less anything genuinely owed for damage beyond fair wear or unpaid charges, with an itemised statement.

Why is there a cleaning fee?

It pays for the full clean of the room between stays. It is a one-off amount taken from the owner-managed catalogue, shown as its own line in your quote, and it does not change after you have booked.

How can I pay?

PayPal, Square or Stripe. Card details are entered on the provider's own page; We LIVE WORLD never sees or stores a card number.

Can the price change after I book?

Not for a confirmed booking. Prices you agreed are recorded on the booking itself, so later catalogue changes apply only to new requests.

Why do you need my identity document?

Accommodation in Japan is required to record who stays, and a shared house needs to know who has keys. The document is uploaded to private storage, reviewed by a person and never shown publicly.

Can you help with a visa or residence status?

No. We LIVE WORLD cannot sponsor, guarantee or advise on immigration matters. We can confirm the facts of your stay in writing if an authority asks for them.

Can I register this address as my residence?

Ask before you assume. Whether an address can be registered depends on the stay length and the agreement in place, so we will confirm it in writing for your specific case.

Can I smoke?

Not indoors — anywhere, including your own room, and including heated tobacco and vaping. Smoking is permitted only in the designated garden areas outside.

Can I have visitors or an overnight guest?

Day visitors are fine in the shared areas and remain your responsibility. Overnight guests need to be agreed in advance so occupancy matches the house register.

Are utilities included?

Electricity, water, heating, cooling and Wi-Fi are part of the room unless your quote says otherwise. You do not open contracts with utility companies for a room here.

Who cleans?

Shared areas are cleaned on the house schedule. Your own room is yours to keep tidy during the stay and is professionally cleaned between stays. Extra cleaning can be booked from the catalogue.

What are the optional extras?

Things like a games console, a larger television, laundry, airport transfer, extra cleaning and concierge help. They are always optional, priced per item, and never bundled into the room price.

Can I cook, and what about dietary needs?

Yes, the shared kitchen is for everyone. Tell us about allergies or dietary requirements and we will note them for any catered service you order — we do not use that information for anything else.

How do I cancel or change dates?

Tell us as early as possible. Date changes depend on the room being free; cancellations follow the published cancellation policy linked in the footer.

What if I need to leave a long stay early?

The notice period in your agreement applies. Come and talk to us — an early conversation almost always ends better than an unannounced departure.

Something is broken or someone is being difficult. What do I do?

Report it early through the contact form or by writing to contact@we-live.world. Maintenance is dealt with quickly, and disputes between residents are mediated rather than ignored.
